This 2,000-hour culinary apprenticeship program is designed for those looking to enter into, or progress within, a culinary career. Aligned to standards established by the recognized industry leader in culinary apprenticeship, the American Culinary Federation (ACF), this program leads to all the skills and experience necessary to certify as an ACF Culinarian. This is the first significant step in a career path that can lead to certification as a Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Executive Chef.
Unlike more traditional culinary schools, this apprenticeship program allows you to work in one of our partner kitchens, under an experienced chef, while not only gaining the “classroom” knowledge but truly building the hands-on experience that is critical to success in this field. Current partners include Edgewood Tahoe, Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel, and Round Hill Pines with more properties in the process of signing on. Best of all, you’re an employee of your sponsoring kitchen/place of employment which means you’re earning while you’re learning.
